Sevish is the alias of Sean Archibald , an independent record producer from his bedroom in London. While always curious about music and wanting to be a composer as a kid, I never really knew how I'd get into it until I was given the option to study music in school in my teen years. During these studies I had instrumental lessons; starting with two years of electric guitar which I regret. I can't play a damn lick of guitar anymore. But two glorious years of piano followed. Nevertheless it was always evident that performance wasn't my main strength and composition was much more my thing.

I started producing as a hobby in late 2003 using computer software and getting the occasional bit of feedback from friends. In the beginning I fiddled with genres that were popular in the genericrap dance music scene to get some experience, but things progressed swiftly and I was finding much more originality was in the more "headphone"-y electronic styles! I took up a Music Technology course and gained much production technique from it. The hobby never died, and here I am years later and still twiddling away!

The best thing was starting this 'Sevish' project. It's a name to me now as much as 'Sean' is. I've been heard by over a couple-thousand listeners so far largely thanks to the websites last.fm and Jamendo who play my music to their open-minded audience. The breakthrough release which enabled me to join those communities - Sevish EP - was a small collection of my fave little tunes up to that time. The response was good and I took it very seriously. So the obvious thing for me was to keep writing new music and enjoy the hell out of it! And of course to get this site running to keep the show alive. :)
